The HLP specification according to DIN 51524 means that the oils have a low viscosity index, that is, a strong dependence of viscosity on temperature. This limits the use of such oils in hydraulic systems of industrial equipment operating in industrial premises, under a roof. The viscosity class of oils in this category is ISO VG 32, that is, the viscosity at a temperature of 40 ° C is approximately 32 cSt. When using hydraulic oil of HLP 32 specification in conditions of significant temperature fluctuations, both increased equipment wear and premature failure of the oil itself are inevitable.
